It has been said that everyone is either entering, in the midst of, or just exiting a trial. Popular author and pastor Max Lucado has discovered that at any given point, almost everyone is dealing with something. Whether the loss of a loved one, marriage issues, illness, job loss, or the stress of everyday life, people everywhere need the assurance that God will carry them through.
Our Mission
The 1687 Book Ministry exists to give hope and encouragement by providing free Christian resources within the United States.
Those We Serve
We are called to support established ministries and other 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations. These include organizations that serve: first responders, the military, police officers, firefighters, and those that provide disaster relief efforts, prison ministries, healthcare facilities, special needs, foster care programs, at-risk populations, homeless shelters, food banks and soup kitchens.
How We Started
The Book Ministry was established as a direct result of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombings and the founders, Woody and Patti Woods' desire to reach the hurting after that devastating event. What started with the donation of a few boxes of Christian books, has by God's provision, grown exponentially and has touched millions of lives for the Kingdom.
